Sliding Into Home

As much booty-lockup as we had about the weather before leaving New Bern, the sea gods, prayer bubbles, and random happy thoughts tossed in our direction actually worked!

Except for the momentary freakout that we might not have enough Diesel to make it to port, the days and nights were gracious and the crew fabulous.

For a first passage, I have to say that we felt so lucky. The weather was easy, we caught fish, and zero people died!

We have some dear friends who’s first passage down to the BVI was met with a seriously angry sea, they were beat up pretty good by it all, and had that PTSD thousand-yard stare after arriving.

This video episode below shows life at sea with cooking, fishing, and the thrill and joy of living on board and landing safely on land when it’s all done.
